What is honesty according to Bible?

Being honest means choosing not to lie, steal, cheat, or deceive in any way. When we are honest, we build strength of character that will allow us to be of great service to God and to others. We are blessed with peace of mind and self-respect and will be trusted by the Lord and others.

 

Definition of honesty

the quality or fact of being honest; uprightness and fairness. truthfulness, sincerity, or frankness. freedom from deceit or fraud.

 

 

What does it mean to be a just man in the Bible?

Calling Joseph, a “just man”, then, is so much more than his observance of Jewish dietary laws and Sabbath practices. Joseph was a man of “righteousness” (tzedekah) and “justice” (mishpat), being attuned to the right thing and actually doing it.
